The Brown Canyon Education Center was formerly a classic western lodge constructed in the early to mid twentieth century by ranchers and property owners. It is located in the remote upper reaches of Brown Canyon beneath the tower of Baboquivari Peak. When the Refuge acquired it in the late nineties it was transformed into a learning facility complete with a large meeting room, a complete kitchen, comfortable and tasteful accommodations and extraordinary views in all directions.
The lodge has sleeping accommodations for 16 persons, in rooms having one to three twin beds. There are four bathrooms with shower/tubs.
All Brown Canyon rentals are strictly reserved for environmental education and appreciation only. Please call the Visitor Center at 520-823-4251 Ext. 101 or contact Joshua_Smith@fws.gov for questions or more information.
The Great Room is where guests gather for meals, presentations and socializing.
The Chef’s Kitchen is the origin of the most remarkable meals.
